PEREGRINE WINERY QUEENSTOWN WEDDING VIDEO

Casey is from China, George is from Chile, they live in Christchurch and had a beautiful, romantic wedding in Queenstown! The understatement of the day came from George: ‘I just have to try to look handsome’. So our job was easy really, just capture two beautiful people (inside and out) with their friends and families from around the world in two amazing settings. Especially when they tell you beforehand, “we trust you, do whatever you think will look good”. We think what looks good is not anything we did, but simply showing two of the nicest people who clearly adore each other having the best day of their lives. (And their families rocking it on the dance floor.)

The Woolshed at Peregrine Winery was transformed by Mint Events into a butterfly-themed space with warmth and charm that looked AMAZING. The butterfly cake and cake pops made by Cherry Blossom Cakes seemed like they were made especially to be twirled around and turned into a stop motion sequence. So we did. And the brilliant thing about a cloudy day is it makes for awesome timelapses with swirling, stormy clouds.

Perhaps our favourite time of the day was during the reception when we sneaked off with Casey and George to the barrel room at Peregrine Winery – an incredible space with textures, light, lines and perspectives we really wanted to use. It’s an understatement to say we were blown away with how natural these two were on film and are so thankful they trusted us. The footage was better than we could ever have hoped for and we’re a bit proud of these films.
